Office Space

Our project revolved around enhancing the search engine traffic and overall performance of "officespace.com," a prominent real estate platform operating in Canada. The client approached us with a specific challenge - to identify the reason behind the decline in traffic following Google updates in August and autumn 2022. Our goal was to conduct a comprehensive internal optimization of the website to rectify the issues and drive organic traffic growth.

Office Space

Company and project objective

“officespace.com” is a long-standing real estate platform that provides comprehensive listings for office spaces across Canada. Established in 1995, the company has been a reliable resource for businesses seeking suitable office spaces in various regions.

Customer goal: Increase search engine traffic

Our strategy

Our strategic approach involved conducting in-depth niche and competitor research to understand the dynamics of the real estate market and identify areas of improvement. We performed on-page SEO, carried out thorough keyword research, and conducted a comprehensive technical audit to address existing challenges.

One of the significant issues affecting the website’s performance was a vast number of toxic links, which negatively impacted the website’s rankings and traffic. We carefully disavowed these toxic links, progressively rejecting them over time to avoid sudden fluctuations in search engine rankings.

The main problem was that the website’s traffic was declining after Google updates in August and autumn 2022. The client’s request was to find the reason for the decline and conduct a comprehensive internal optimization of the website. This was a short-term contract for 3-4 months, with payment for the hours of the SEO team. The biggest problem, in addition to rather standard technical errors, such as low content pages, which affected the website’s indexing, was the presence of a huge number of toxic links. After we fixed the technical errors and made the content on the pages unique, the site began to index much better by the search engine, and traffic began to gradually grow. For 4 months, we added toxic links to the file, gradually rejecting them, as sharply rejecting more than a thousand links could also negatively affect the website’s ranking. The site continued to grow, and now receives more than 200,000 traffic from search per month.

Progress

01

Comprehensive Website Analysis

Our project commenced with a thorough analysis of “officespace.com.” We assessed its current performance, traffic trends, and rankings, while also delving into historical data to identify the specific impact of Google updates. This analysis laid the foundation for understanding the challenges the website was facing.

02

Toxic Link Identification and Disavowal

One of the primary concerns was the presence of a vast number of toxic backlinks that were negatively affecting the website’s rankings. We utilized advanced tools and techniques to identify these toxic links and prepared a disavowal plan. Carefully managing the rejection process, we gradually disavowed the toxic links to mitigate potential negative impacts on the website’s search engine ranking.

03

Technical Error Resolution

Our team conducted a comprehensive technical audit to detect and address existing errors and issues that were impeding the website’s indexing and crawling efficiency. From resolving low-content pages to fixing indexing and crawling issues, we meticulously optimized the website’s technical infrastructure.

04

Content and SEO Optimization

To enhance the website’s relevance and visibility, we performed on-page SEO and keyword research. By optimizing meta tags, headings, and content, we ensured that the website aligned with the latest search engine algorithms. Unique and engaging content was created to provide value to users and establish “officespace.com” as an authoritative resource in the real estate niche.

05

Monitoring and Growth Analysis

Throughout the project’s duration, we closely monitored the website’s performance, tracking the impact of our optimizations and disavowal efforts. This continuous analysis enabled us to make data-driven decisions and adjust strategies as needed. As a result, we witnessed steady growth in search engine traffic and maintained a positive trajectory.

Results

The strategic approach and rigorous process culminated in a success for the “officespace.com” project. Over the four-month period, the website’s traffic significantly rebounded, surpassing 200,000 monthly visitors from organic search alone. With a renewed online presence and improved user experience, the platform solidified its position as a top choice for businesses seeking office spaces in Canada.
